DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO BE AN FBCA STATE DELEGATE? If your state is not on the list of delegates, why not volunteer? State delegates perform the following tasks: ¨ Encourage and promote the highest standards in the breeding of the Fila Brasileiro. ¨ Urge Fila Brasileiro owners to accept the standard of the breed as approved by the FCI and adopted by the FBCA as the only standard of excellence by which the Fila Brasileiro should be judged. ¨ Support the FBCA Code of Ethics and encourage all Fila Brasileiro owners to abide by the ethical standards in their interactions with other Fila Brasileiro owners. ¨ Encourage the organizations of local affiliated specialty clubs where there are sufficient fanciers of the breed in order to conduct sanctioned specialty shows under the support and rules of the FBCA. ¨ Encourage sportsmanlike conduct/competition at all dog sport activities. ¨ Act as a source of information for Fila Brasileiro owners and to persons interested in the Fila Brasileiro. ¨ Act as the voice/representative of other FBCA members so that members play an integral part in the direction and development of the Fila Brasileiro dog and the FBCA.
